Oko Oloyun Shot Dead Along Igbo-Ora-Eruwa Road by Unidentified Gunmen

The Oyo state police command confirmed the murder of popular traditional medicine practitioners, President Ceo of Okooloyun Worldwide Group of Companies & De Fayus International limited, Alh. AbdulFatai Yusuf aka Oko Oloyun. He was shot dead along Igbo-Ora-Eruwa road by unknown gunmen while traveling to Iseyin, Oyo State on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

The commissioner of police in Oyo state, Shina Olukolu said he was murder by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

The gunmen attacked the vehicles conveying Alh. AbdulFatai by firing shots from the thick forest where they were hiding. The armed police escorts traveling with Alh. AbdulFatai reportedly engaged the gunmen but they escaped while one of the shots hit the trado-medical expert who died later of his bullet injuries.



The police say they find a possible link between a fraud uncovered by Oko Oloyun in his Lagos office. The decrease had earlier detected an alleged bookkeeping fraud in his Lagos office.

Two police escorts and some staff are being questioned by detectives from the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Ibadan. Oko Oloyun’s corpse has been deposited in the Igbo-Ora General Hospital, Oyo State.
